Velvet Amour became Miss Body Beautiful, Australia's Queen of Burlesque, at twenty-two years of age.

She quickly became sought after in Australia and overseas, wowing her audiences whenever she performed in her lavish costumes and elegantly strutted her stuff.

At age thirty while working in Sydney, Velvet acquired a singing coach and, and after a year of daily practise, became an accomplished singer and cabaret entertainer, performing in unique, extravagant shows worldwide combining singing, comedy and burlesque.

My Bare Lady is the story of her heady and wild ride in show business. Velvet has never stopped performing-she still does to this day- teaching the art of burlesque and belly dance.

The journey of her life has been an amazing one, which includes several very brief and turbulent marriages. Her life at times has been, sad, exciting and absolutely fascinating.
